সেদিন অবহেলার বীজ বুনেছিলে
আমার কাঁদার মতো মনে।
আজ সে বীজ
ভুলে ফেঁপে চারাগাছ হয়েছে।
তুমিই পানি দেও,পরিচর্যা কর।
কষ্ট দেও,অভিযোগ কর,
তারা বড় হয় অতি দ্রুত।
আমার কিছুই হয় না করতে।
সবই করছ তুমি।
আজ তারা অনেক বড় বৃক্ষ।
ফুল ধরেছে, ফল ধরেছে।
পাতায় পাতায় কষ্টের রঙিন বাহার।
তুমি মুগ্ধ হও না!
আমি কিন্তু হই।
আমার বছরের পর বছরের পাওনা গুণে।
আমার প্রাপ্য কৃতিত্বটা বুঝে নিতে
আজ তোমার বোনা অবহেলার ফল নিতে এসেছি।
ফুলে ফলে ভরে থাকা বৃক্ষের তলে
আজ তুমি এসে ফেলছ দীর্ঘশ্বাস।
ক্ষমা চাইছো দু-হাত ভরে
আমি আজ কত দূরে।
তোমার অবহেলার বৃক্ষের তলে
দাফন আমার অভিমানী মন।
